    Get PDF
The basic reason to conduct the research and state the problems regarding the contaminated water is to highlight the basic elements that should be available in water and some that are not, to a ratio that the water is declared safe for drinking. To do so we will keep account of the basic elements in water, odor, taste, hardness, pH level and color of water by following the guidelines given by World Health Organization (WHO) and researches conducted in past on the safe drinking water in Pakistan. Our basic objective is to conclude these mention factors are either in the range of safety parameters or not and also set some of the parameter on which the previous researches in Pakistan are lacking. In past researches the methods used to calculate the values of water were manual but for our research we will use significant software tool for calculations because we want zero tolerance in the output values of elements in the water up to the safety level . The method proposed for this type of research is Fuzzification to calculate the values and measurements of the proposed problem. In this research we areusing our computer science expertise combined with mathematical knowledge to provide the solution and these things that set our project apart

This thesis presents research carried out for the visualisation of surface anatomy data stored as large range images such as those produced by stereo-photogrammetric, and other triangulation-based capture devices. As part of this research, I explored the use of points as a rendering primitive as opposed to polygons, and the use of range images as the native data representation. Using points as a display primitive as opposed to polygons required the creation of a pipeline that solved problems associated with point-based rendering. The problems inves tigated were scattered-data interpolation (a common problem with point-based rendering), multi-view rendering, multi-resolution representations, anti-aliasing, and hidden-point re- moval. In addition, an efficient real-time implementation on the GPU was carried out

User Transmit Power Minimization through Uplink Resource Allocation and User Association in HetNets

The popularity of cellular internet of things (IoT) is increasing day by day and billions of IoT devices will be connected to the internet. Many of these devices have limited battery life with constraints on transmit power. High user power consumption in cellular networks restricts the deployment of many IoT devices in 5G. To enable the inclusion of these devices, 5G should be supplemented with strategies and schemes to reduce user power consumption. Therefore, we present a novel joint uplink user association and resource allocation scheme for minimizing user transmit power while meeting the quality of service. We analyze our scheme for two-tier heterogeneous network (HetNet) and show an average transmit power of -2.8 dBm and 8.2 dBm for our algorithms compared to 20 dBm in state-of-the-art Max reference signal received power (RSRP) and channel individual offset (CIO) based association schemes

The composition and quality of the M. concanensis seed oil extracted through an aqueous-enzyme-assisted technique, using three commercial enzyme-mixtures (Natuzyme, Kemzyme, and Feedzyme) was compared to those of the control-, (without enzymes) and solvent-extracted oils. Aqueous enzyme-extracted M.concanensis seed oil content ranged from 23.54 to 27.46% and was significantly (P 0.05) variation in the contents of fiber and ash within the three extraction methods. However, the protein content of the meal obtained through the aqueous-enzyme and control methods was significantly (P 0,05) en el contenido de fibra y ceniza para los tres métodos de la extracción.

    Get PDF
This study explores the asymmetric co-movement between conventional bonds market, sukuk market and Islamic stock markets of top ten Islamic economies. The study used daily data ranging from 1st January 2008 to 31st December 2019. However, for the dependency structure, we used Quantile-on-Quantile (QQ) method, which captures the dependence between the entire distributions of financial assets and uncovers some nuance features of the relationship. The empirical findings show that under the stress condition (bearish condition), both bonds and stocks markets negatively commove. However, in the bullish market condition, these markets show week positive correlation/ co-movement in all the sample economies. The findings also confirmed that under the bearish condition, a mild negative correlation exists between sukuk and Islamic stock markets except for Malaysia. However, in the bullish market condition, sukuk markets and stock markets show strong positive correlation in all sample economies. Furthermore, study also enriches quantiles estimation by using quantiles granger causality approach. The findings show that the conventional bond market, sukuk market and Islamic stock market granger cause to each other on all the quantiles (in bullish or bearish market conditions)

13 years old child from tribal area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa presented to us with chief complaints of headache and vomiting for last 3 months with recent onset of aggressive behavior. Patient had normal neu-rological examination except that he had frontal lobe release signs and bilateral papilledema. MRI scan of brain showed a large ring enhancing lesion measuring 5x6x5 cm in the frontal lobe with surrounding edema (Figures 1 – 3). Because of Short history and relevant MRI picture diagnosis of high grade glioma was made. Though there was history of tuberculosis in the family but because of large size of the lesion with short his-tory with no fever or cough the differential of tubercu-loma was not considered before surgery. Routine in-vestigations were unremarkable. Patient was prepared and put on elective list for craniotomy and excision of the lesion. During surgery patient brain was edematous so patient was hyperventilated and mannitol was given before opening the dura. Per operatively the lesion was fibrous, firm and not easily removable as is the case with high grade glioma and gross total resection was not possible because of brain edema and respiratory distress. Biopsy was taken and subtotal resection was performed. Patient was put on ATT and metastastic work up also advised started. Histopathology report showed a caseating granulomatous lesion (Figure 4)

Contribution of advanced fluorescence nano microscopy towards revealing mitotic chromosome structure

    Get PDF
The organization of chromatin into higher-order structures and its condensation process represent one of the key challenges in structural biology. This is important for elucidating several disease states. To address this long-standing problem, development of advanced imaging methods has played an essential role in providing understanding into mitotic chromosome structure and compaction. Amongst these are two fast evolving fluorescence imaging technologies, specifically fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) and super-resolution microscopy (SRM). FLIM in particular has been lacking in the application of chromosome research while SRM has been successfully applied although not widely. Both these techniques are capable of providing fluorescence imaging with nanometer information. SRM or nanoscopy is capable of generating images of DNA with less than 50 nm resolution while FLIM when coupled with energy transfer may provide less than 20 nm information. Here, we discuss the advantages and limitations of both methods followed by their contribution to mitotic chromosome studies. Furthermore, we highlight the future prospects of how advancements in new technologies can contribute in the field of chromosome science
